2 weeks. 7 peacebuilding practices. 1 worldwide community.
Building peace can feel like a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. It’s something that happens when each one of us commits to cultivating practices that lead us toward understanding, connection, and collaboration with our neighbors.
We’ve put together 7 things that everyone can do to move toward peace, and we invite you to join us and the rest of the Peace Catalyst community as we walk through each of these 7 steps together this Advent season. You don’t have to be an expert, and you don’t have to have any peacebuilding experience. We’ve put together everything you need, and we’ll be modeling each step for you to give you some inspiration.
Let’s be the peacebuilders we want to see in the world, and let’s start right now. You in?
Get the 7 practices.
Starting December 1st, we’ll email you a new practice every 2 days with a video example from one of our team peacebuilders, a biblical reflection on that day’s practice, and other resources to help and inspire you.
Join the community.
Peacebuilding is better when we do it together. So, when you sign up to get the practices, we’ll also give you a link to join in conversation with others around the world doing the same 7 challenges.
Invite others.
Peacebuilding is best in community! In addition to our online community, consider inviting friends, fellow church members, or others you know to sign up and try out the practices together.

At Peace Catalyst, we love hosting free opportunities like this for people to learn and practice peace. We can do this because of the generosity of people like you who want to see more peacemakers in the church and in our neighborhoods. If you would like to support future events like this or become a sustaining supporter of PCI, we invite you to donate here. Thank you!

Here’s a taste of the 7 practices we’ll be doing together…
1. Know yourself
First things first. We’ll start out by giving you some tools and fun exercises to reflect individually on your own story, spiritual journey, skills, and passions.
2. Name your community
Peacebuilding starts where you already are. This step will help you name the community(ies) you’re in and where you're invested in building peace.
3. Learn your community
Peacebuilding is most effective when you know your own context, so in this step, we’ll help you with some simple ways to get to know more about your community.
4. Love your neighbor
Now it’s time to start reaching out! Whether you’re ready to take a big step or prefer to start with something small, we’ll give you plenty of ideas to start connecting with the people around you.
5. Love your enemy
You can do it! In this practice, we’ll start to be more intentional about crossing lines of division. This will look different for each person - and don’t forget, we’ll all be doing this together in community!
6. Take action for change
In this step, we’ll help you practice building peace in tangible ways by taking concrete steps that affect change and make people’s lives better.
7. Celebrate
Last but NOT least - we celebrate. We’ll practice gratitude, share positive stories, and spur each other on as a community of peacebuilders who are in this together.
At the end of our two week experience, on December 15, we’ll finish things off with a celebration call to hear and share stories. We’ll also have a live drawing for Peace Catalyst swag (you’ll be entered into the drawing each time you try one of the 7 steps and share about it). Don’t miss out!

Give to peacebuilding
Help neighbors connect, build stronger communities, and heal divisions by giving to Peace Catalyst. Every donation will support Christian peacebuilders, help us create and run more community and online events, and contribute to our equity fund to help us pay under-resourced peacebuilders from communities of struggle.
