Releasing the Chains by Lisa Gibson

We all need to forgive and to be forgiven. Is it possible to finally let go of the hurts and pains we hold on to?

Today we want to share with you the release of a new book by Lisa Gibson, award-winning and bestselling author and conflict coach, who spoke at our Evangelicals for Peace conference at Georgetown.

Her book is called Releasing The Chains: Timeless Wisdom On How To Forgive Anyone For Anything, and in it she gives a step-by-step process of how to forgive and life-changing examples of others who have applied these principles to their lives.

Here's what Lisa says:

“As I have traveled around the world sharing my own story of losing my brother in the 1988 terrorist bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland and my decision to forgive, the single biggest question people would ask me is, 'how do you forgive?'.

"So, I wrote this book as a follow-up to my first book about my own journey of meeting with and forgiving the terrorist responsible for my brother’s death. It includes the process I walked through in reconciling my desire for justice with the belief that I needed to forgive. It is a practical tool for everyone who knows they need to forgive but don't know how to get there. And the fifteen other contributors' stories of their own struggles with tragedy and loss and how they too have overcome, prove a powerful example to all of us."

We hope you enjoy it!
