As of right now, just under 30% of Palestinians living in the OPT are vaccinated. What are the reasons for this, and what are the implications? What are the challenges of healthcare under occupation? Our panelists will explore these topics and more.
Sean Carroll is the President and CEO of Anera, a non-profit providing humanitarian assistance and sustainable development to advance the well-being of refugees and other vulnerable communities in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan. He will share about their efforts to get vaccines to Gaza and ways that we can support them.
Dana Moss is the International Advocacy Coordinator for Physicians for Human Rights - Israel, an organization founded by Israeli physicians to advocate for the health rights of everyone living in Israel and in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. PHRI works to promote a just society where the right to health is granted equally to all people under Israel’s responsibility. Dana will share about their work to advocate for equal health rights, and some of the challenges of healthcare under occupation.
