Growing Young Peacemakers: The Why and How of Youth Peace Education

Wednesday, February 19,
10-11:30am Eastern
Free

Today's children are not just tomorrow's leaders, neighbors, parents, and community members; they are also capable of leading today. If we want to build a peaceful, flourishing future, we must begin teaching our youth the culture of peace now, empowering them to lead and make an impact today.

Join PCI's Peter Digitale Anderson for a conversation with U.S. peace & justice educator and author, Julie Lillie and Nigerian peacebuilding consultant, Amb Moses Abolade about training teachers and young peacebuilders across the world. They'll reflect on experiences, approaches and values that guide their work, share stories of change, impact and opportunity, as well as outline a unifying vision for cultivating just cultures of peace through education. There will also be a time for questions and large-group conversation at the end of the event.
