Create a Peacemaking Manual to Equip Faith Communities

Christians and Muslims are eager to connect with one another but sometimes don’t know where to start or are afraid of rejection. The Washington, D.C. area alone, where this project is beginning, is also home to at least eight anti-Muslim hate groups. The need to connect and foster mutual respect is greater than ever - the wellbeing of our communities depends on it.

In partnership with the Mustard Seed Project, we’re putting together this guide that people in Muslim and Christian faith communities can pick up and use to facilitate reconciliation and relationship-building with each other. This guide will be for laypeople as well as leaders and will be practical and easy-to-use.

Help us create this “training-of-trainers” project to equip Christian and Muslim community leaders and members in the Washington, DC area to build mutual trust, deepen friendships, and collaborate for the betterment of their communities.

A donation of $50 per month equals the cost of resourcing and coaching a Muslim-Christian peacebuilding pair once per month.

A donation of $1000 equals the cost of resourcing and supporting one church-mosque pair  (2 congregations) with training, resources and ongoing coaching.

A donation of any amount will help us create this practical resource and make it freely available to faith communities.

Your donation helps catalyze projects like this by supporting this project’s lead Becca Tyvoll.
